The Midbar Community will be hosting a Kadima Kinnus at Camp Stein in Prescott AZ. March 28th-30th. The weekend is open to all 4th-7th graders, with some 8th-grade leaders.
What is the Midbar Community?​
The Midbar Community is the part of the Far West Region that is not in California. This includes AZ, NV, CO, and UT.

Where is the Convention and when does it start/end?
The Convention will be held at Camp Stein in Prescott AZ from March 28th-30th. The weekend will start with registration on Friday, March 28th at 4 pm and end on Sunday, March 30th at 12 pm.

What if I am outside of Arizona?
Transportation will be arranged by the Youth Directors. This will be a separate fee. We know that the combined cost of registration and transportation can be difficult, please know that assistance is available through the USCJ and your local organizations. We do not want cost to be a barrier so please connect with your Youth Director if there is a concern.

Where will I stay at the Convention?
We will be staying in the beautiful cabins at Camp Stein in Prescott AZ.

What will we do at the weekend?
Together we will celebrate Shabbat. The weekend will be filled with time to get to know your peers, meals and snacks, escape rooms, a murder mystery, outdoor activities, other activities, and discussions. There will also be fabulous services led by D.J. Sinai from Temple Beth Sholom of Las Vegas.

How will groups be arranged?
With the age range we are inviting there will be a younger group and an older group to give participants to engage with their peers.

What about the Staff?
Each Congregation will be sending at least one staff person and there will be at least two extra staff assigned for logistics.

How is the Camp food?
Camp Stein is a Kosher Style facility so we will be eating Vegetarian for the weekend. The chef at Camp Stein is famous for her Tomato Soup and other yummy food options that will be provided throughout the weekend. Allergies can easily be accommodated.

What do we pack?
A packing list and more details of the schedule will be sent in a packet a week before the weekend.

What will the weather be like?
Typically Prescott in March is "cold" which could be as low as 30 degrees and as high at 60 degrees. The last two years we have held this weekend it has snowed on Sunday so it is possible.
